Well, the cost of D cell batteries KILLS my wallet, so I decided to see about making it run off 18650 as I have lots of those
I took one of those single cell 18650 chargers I had that didn't work right and opened it up. From there I de-soldered the existing cord. I then found an old 9V wall style plug and opened up the box on that, and de-soldered its plug and cord for use on the 18650 charger. I went into the 18650 charger and soldered the new cord + to the positive terminal on the inside of the box, and negative to negative, then slipped the cord into the proper exit cut out and there we have it! An 18650 power brick or so-to-say
Here are some pics of the insides ect.
Here is the port on the Hercules / Titan that the 18650 will be plugged into.
Box plugged in and ready for test run!
Test Results: :eg:
Well, Ill say it works no more spendy D cell bills for me!
Thanks for checkin' this thread out, have a good one all!
