Hi, I bought heatsink host and batteries, to build my first laser, and I am thinking of buying dtr's 2W module with xdrive driver, https://sites.google.com/site/dtrlpf/home/diodes/445-m140-didoes from here, but I see that it has the red and black wire at the end, how would I get it to supply power from the c6 host. I am unaware of how this works can anyone suggest how to get the power supply with that or if not what would work?

oh, so which module do I have to buy, I was thinking of the one with the driver right on it already, and if I buy that one the round, would It be an exact fit with the battery? like what if there is a small gap and no contact, the current laser I have has a spring think that covers up the gap.

Oh, I just saw the second post after I posted mine, thanks I will start looking for something like that, seems like I dont need a module

You can buy the one with the diode soldered directly to the driver and then run your positive wire and negative wire to the pill if you have room in the host. After thanwhen you put the batteries in the center becomes your positive contact. Solder the negative part to the host and then the body of the laser will complete the circuit. What host is it.

You will still need the Aixiz module. Thats what holds onto your diode, provides a path from the diode through the module to the heatsink, and also is threaded for your lens.

Its a C6 host but I am looking to buying 2-3 different ones, once I get to know more about how to make it work, I should be getting it next week and then I wil get more hopefully I will find out more information. Thanks for helping me, was confused about the negative, which you told me should be soldered to the host.
