Hey friends! I finally went through with it. I made my first high powered purchase. Yes, I have moved up from the pen lasers I have been so fond of for many years. I purchased a 2W 445nm and a 500mW 532nm laser with a 10X Beam expander that I can use on both from JetLasers. I am SO SUPER EXCITED for them to arrive!
Now I have been reading these forums for a few years and have done lots of research, but I wanted to get the most up to date info I could so I made this thread.
First off, goggles. I need protective eyewear for the 2 different wavelengths I purchased. Is there a brand you like best? A place you like to purchase from? I see a bunch of different glasses on Amazon that are under $10. Do I need more than that? I am a huge Amazon customer and buy things all the time from them, so I thought that would be easiest, but I don't want to buy junk.
Next question! What kind of toys do you have for your lasers? Flash paper, things to burn/blow up, prisms or mirrors etc. One thing I really liked about WickedLasers was the fact that they offered different lenses that would create different shapes/illusions to look at. I didn't want to give them my business though so I had to erase that idea from my head. What are the goods?
Thanks again for taking the time to help me out with this!
