M-DISC diodes anyone?

Has anyone here experimented with M-disc diodes yet?
Does anyone know any specifications on wavelength, power, etc.?

I did a search here for "m-disc" - came up empty.

Looks like you can only burn them on Bluray burners from LG. 6x and 12x 405nm diodes would be my guess.

Storage media tends to change every ten years on average anyway. And we migrate our data to the new format. Unless you're in the time-capsule business, there's absolutely no need for 1000 year longevity.

where can i get a diode laser that powerful. i could see a small portable cnc machine for etching granite or other hard stone
