Hi LPF,
I'm working on assembling some pieces to do a 510 thread mech mod build, and I'm pretty sure I'll pick up an M-140 unit from DTR's shop: https://sites.google.com/site/dtrlpf/home/diodes/445nm-h1650-diodes
However, I'm not sure which driver to go with...
Of the pre-built modules, there's the X-Drive and the Nano drive. On DTR's website it says they both take an input voltage of 2.5-6V, but the Driver Compendium thread lists the X-Drive as 3.7-16V. I'm assuming this is the bucking version, otherwise it would be listed as the X-Boost? There was no info I could find about the Nano drive.
From what I'm seeing it looks like this diode should be driven at about 4.9V for maximum output. So I'm thinking I should either drive it with 1x18650 and a boost driver, or 2x18350s and a buck driver.
Can somebody help me understand what would be the optimal setup, and which of the options that DTR offers would be the most appropriate?
Thanks in advance!
