Hi, so I've got a bunch of (supposedly) 300mW 808nm laser diodes from eBay and have been testing them with an Aixiz adjustable 500mA driver. The driver is working as it should be whereas the diodes ar not. I tested them from the minimum current (0mA) to a max of 380mA and the output just isn't high enough. Is it me who's making a big mistake or do these diodes require a much higher input current?

My problem with these diodes is that they come with no diagrams whatsoever, so for a rookie like me i needed to go through a couple of diodes before I figured out the positive and negative connections.

Any help would be much appreciated.

You do know that you can't see 808nm light as it's IR right? Have you tried using an LPM?

Yes, I am aware of that actually. I did check with my IR converted compact camera to check the output. I do appreciate your input, but I should have closed the question since I found the problem and it was my mistake (I setup the driver module incorrectly based on the instructions from Aixiz).
