looking for Boost drivers..






I'm in the same boat, and on the verge of building my own.

Cajun sells the Benboost, and fixed 1.1A rectangular driver.
I'm holding off on the BenBoost until we have more experience with it.
 
From my experience, They're better used for lower power diodes. A voltage spike MAY have killed two of my PHR-803s, but its also worked fine with an 805 and another 803. I read somewhere that people hypothesize it has to do with voltage spikes. I assume that you'd just need to add a capacitor to the output, right? But either way, I think you've got a good idea on waiting a bit. I have a feeling that if problems arise, there will be a V2 out.
