Looking for Beam Expander

Hello, I renew my apology for my English ..
I'm looking for a suitable beam expander to my WL arctic. Does not exist on the market, so I need some advice on some product adaptable.
Can anyone help me build it? Or maybe someone would be able to build a support adapted to existing ones on the market? I was looking at those of jetlasers, unfortunately have a graft larger than 2mm. But in your opinion, are of good quality?
If you already have (home made) I can evaluate them!

Hi, thanks for your inquiry.
I just checked the head diameter of the wickedlasers 1w 445nm model is 35.8mm while one of the adapters we provide is the 36mm head diameters, so the beam expanders are also useable for the laser you own but probably not be perfectly tight but you can enclose something to make it more tight. Hope you understand.

But .. the quality of this product from 1 to 10?
I'm not a great expert on expanders, and I can see that there are lenses like these that cost 10 times as much .. I suppose there must be a reason

At 25 meters the beam diameter is exactly the same as before, however, weaker than before.
This can be caused by the difference of the output beam and the lens input?

Hi Mikelowreen,
You're not going to find a commercial beam expander for the arctic.
The main reason is because they have terrible beam quality/shape and the commercially available expanders are made for quality beams which are usually less than a couple millimeters in diameter.

You're right about the reason for the loss of power when trying to feed a 5mm beam through a 2.5mm input aperture.
You will need one that has an input aperture equal or greater than the beam diameter.
The exit aperture of the beam expander matters as well or there will be huge losses.
For instance if your beam diameter is 5mm and the input aperture is also 5mm, you need to make sure the exit aperture is greater than the "X" factor multiplied by the input beam diameter.
with 5mm beam you will need an expander with a clear exit aperture of
50mm for a 10x
100mm for a 20x

(By shortly I will open a new thread to sell my Jetlaser beam expander 10x , since I do not need ..)
