Looking for AAA 1.5V+ rechargeable batteries

So I was looking at this thread: http://laserpointerforums.com/f44/best-aaa-batteries-my-laser-46806.html which is a discussion of batteries to use in lasers.

I've been around looking for AAA rechargeable batteries for my 150 mW 532 nm laser pointer...the problem is that as soon as my AAA batteries go below 1.3V, the burning capacity of my laser drops off exponentially...so the typical 1.2V AAA rechargeable battery simply won't do.

I've checked bestbuy, radioshack, and countless no-name websites looking for rechargeable AAA 1.5V+ batteries. So my question is simple. Do they exist, and if so, can someone post a link?

Bonus question, is there a rechargeable version of a 3.0V+ CR123A or variant battery?

Don't think you'll find a rechargeable AAA that fits your needs. About the best you could do would be use a single 10440 and a 'dummy' spacer. Though the 4.2v from a full charged one could fry your driver...

And yes, there are rechargable CR123a's.. They're 16340's. Available both in normal Li-ion voltages (4.2v max, 3.6 nominal) and with circuits that drop them down to 3v or so to be compatible with things that die if you give them more voltage than cr123a primaries put out.

I use the Sanyo eneloop, not in a laser yet . . .

I just ordered some from Amazon (link below). They say they deliver a constant 1.5 volts with no memory effect. Will let you know how they work out.

Please avoid digging up old threads. The last post to this thread before yours was 8 years old. I don't even think any of the posters in this thread are still active.

Feel free to create a new thread with a review once your order arrives.

Noah, this thread is 8 years old, and the OP hasn't posted in 6 years, please don't necropost.

Edit: Diachi, you beat me to it. :yh:

BTW, Welcome to LPF, please make a welcome thread and introduce yourself. :yh:
