I'm currently looking for a decent green laser on Lazerer.com with burning power, focusable, constant mode (not liken the ones where you have to hold the button down, you click the button on and it stays on until you turn it off) and bright with a highly visible beam.

I've currently got my eye on this laser:

100mW Rifle 532nm Green Laser

I would order it with the basic package; power certificate, battery and charger but also with the rifle lens kit as well, just to fill in the extra budget.

My favourite has always been the Rifle host (besides the Spyder III host) so I'd be buying this one based on the host look. I'm not too sure how good 100mW greenies are so if the difference between a 100mW green and a 200mW is big, I'd give this a miss.

The other one I've been looking at is the 200mW "stick":

200mW LZSK "Stick" 532nm Green Laser

I'd order this with the battery and certificate (I already have a charger, and I'm going to buy better batteries and charger later anyway). This one is currently out of stock, but I would assume that they'd probably have more back in after the Chines New Year Holiday.

Any other recommendations? Any help is appreciated :beer:
 





As much as the Rifle is a fabulous host, I think I'd go for the Stick 200mW personally. For the extra tenner that additional 100mW is well worth it i.m.o.

Coincidentaly, I've been looking at the Rifle 200 v 'Stick' 300 greenies and decided on the Stick when the holidays are over.
 
I have been very pleased with my RIFLE 200mW 532nm greenie from Lazerer.

:D Same here! I made a meme recently to do with cats actually, in response to wicked lasers' new sharks with lasers idea on the facebook page (here). I submitted it into a competition actually so if you do check it out, make sure to rate it as awesome, I'd appreciate it :thanks:

It seems I'll have to wait until they get a new stock of these... another thing; how brigght will the beam be on a blue 600 - 800 be, and how good would it be compared with a 100 - 200 green? According to the chart on WL, red is more visible but I thought 445nm beams are more visiblbe.

Well,,, i reckon a 800 blue would be slightly brighter than a 100 green, but a 200 green would be brighter than a 600 blue (dunno how much).

I just compared the beam from a 1290 blue (certified) to a 200 green (untested). I focused the blue so the beam diameter was the same as the green and I'd say the blue was brighter, but there was very little in it. I'm sure 'they' say green is 5 - 6 times more visible than blue,,,thats probably not far off.

And how about burning power? Doesn't colour affect the power of the burn as well (I've got a red 200mW that peaks at 243mW and it takes a while to burn, even when perfectly focused) or is it just mW and mW only?
 
If you search the forums on the best colour for burning there are lots of different answers for this. As far as I've been able to conclude, the 405nm's should be the best for burning if it's mW v mW just because the dot/beam can be focused smallest.
Realistically though, per mW they all have the same burning power but their capability to burn a particular object depends on the colour of the object itself - how much light will be absorbed and how much reflected back.
