Hi guys,

I recently asked for help with a photography project I was starting. I got some really good advice and the project has been going very well. Next month I have a small exhibition and around that time I hope to share my photo's with you guys. So please keep an eye out for them and thanks to everyone that helped me with recommendations etc.

I have another request for help. At the exhibition I want to set up a large, light-tight box with two small and safe laser pointers demonstrating how i shot my project. Obviously they need to be a guaranteed/certified 5mw and nothing above to ensure safety. I figured the 532nm wavelength would be best as its brightest. Diameter can be anywhere from 1.5/2mm ballpark. I only need it to travel 2-3 feet so divergence shouldn't be an issue.

Does anyone have any recommendations on which lasers I could get for this application? I probably don't want to spend more than £50 GBP ish in total on both lasers and need them to be battery operated. Obviously the more reliable the better. I also need to be able to turn them on mid-barrel or at the back because the head of the laser will be mounted inside the box and probably not easily accessible.

As always, any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Mark

You're probably best off getting two of these.

They're good quality, up to spec and the company has great customer service.

Hey, thanks for your quick response. That laser looks perfect for my application. I have sent them an email already. The O-like wide-beam is a great little laser too btw (another one of your recommendations). I have used it quite a bit already, even in the rain without any problems. I am just about to order another one from them, as well as 2 of their new 1W waterproof blue lasers. I have some cool photography ideas for these.

Thanks again, Mark

I'm not sure if I ever recommended O-Like. As their lasers tend to be underspec. It's good however that you got a nice laser from them. Definitely don't hestitate to post photos of them!

Hello guys,

Thanks for all the recommendations...I have checked them all out and they all look great. The one from the UK/Odicforce looks very attractive due to the cheap shipping.

Thanks again, Mark

Hey, thanks for the heads up on this laser from Odicforce. This is definitely an interesting shout due the the low delivery costs, customs etc. Have you or others on the forum had any experience with the lasers from this company, can vouch for their quality etc?

Thanks again, mark

Agreed^ i was going to recommend getting a few 301's until i saw the part about the =<5mw part.
