can lithium batteries damage my x-105 ?

I asked Nova if i could use Lithiums with my X85 and they replied that it's no problem.
They have a very long run time but it doesn't make the laser more powerful than with fresh alkalines.(i can still light matches after using these batteries for more than 2 weeks)
I'm using Energizer Ultimate Lithium, I don't know how the Energizer e^2 performs.
