I know this dosent deserve it’s own thead, but I’m looking to get a laser flashlight. Currently I’m eyeing the acebeam w30. I own a few powerful lasers and fully understand the safety that goes with them. Is the laser flashlight the same?It is my understanding that a “laser flashlight” is a more refined beam than most flashlights. My question is in terms of eye safety how dangerous is it? Meaning eye protection? How far away should it be to view safely?

Thanks

Any Focused light source with high intensity can damage your eyes.

These are not technically a laser light beam. The output is from a Phosphor block. The Blue Laser is used to excite the Phosphor which the Phosphor then emits the light.

I do own a W30. They are amazing torches. The Beam is very narrow compared to a normal torch. But nothing like a laser.
