Hi, i searched in the forums but i dint find what the X mean when talking about laser power, i read a 6x a 12x, but i dont know what that means, i thought that the power of a laser is measured in terms of mW. The question is becouse i have an Aries laser and Laserglow sells a 10X beam expander, and want to know what that means.

Thanks

It is the speed at which the laser writes or reads in a player/burner. the 6x, 8x, and 12x is the write speed of the blu-ray burners, the higher the speed the higher the power.

The beam expander with 10x means if magnifies the beam size 10 times, therefore lowering the divergence significantly. Beam size and divergence are inversely proportional.
