Thanks to DTR! Sent him my Dorcy Jr that I purchased from Gozert. Turns out the diode was bad but the cause was unknown or at least DTR didn't have the time to assess it for me. Anyways, I'm happy now! Here is a crappy beam shot with my camera phone (didn't feel like bringing out the Nikon today).
