I went to Walgreen's today and saw some of their cheap sunglasses with an orangish color so I bought them. They block out a good 80-90% of green laser light and they have lots of styles. They only cost $15 too. Here are some pictures.

10% of 100mw is still quite a lot of light hitting your eye. They might work ok for a dx 50 but I wouldn't trust them for anything more powerful.
 
You are right about that. When i have the 1 watt green laser on the glasses are pretty much useless as far as protection goes. They do make the dot easier to look at though when burning stuff with lower powered lasers and work well with anything below 100mW.
 
But wouldn't that dilate you eyes, causing more damge for the 10mW entering your eyes?
 
it might dilate your eyes to let more IR in; if that isnt already filtered from the laser
 
They actually let a lot of non-blue/green light through. I don't know about the dilating Ill go check in a mirror.......Yeah they dilate a little bit. When I put them on it makes everything look orange and yellow. It makes it look brighter and sunnier than it really is. They don't look brown like in the picture but orange.
 
The "try to" isn't really mandatory for that to be correct(if there was a "!" at the end at least) But anyway, I guess you would have no trouble finding glasses that block UV ;D Good ones are probably more than $15 though.

amnizu = 100% right.
 
I just tried these glasses on while running my 300mW blue laser and it disappeared. These glasses block 100% of 473nm as far as I can tell. Not even the slightest bit of blue light passes through.
