Just curious what the concensus here would be, but we're looking at possibly getting a laser to etch part numbers at work. My thought would be to get a pulsed fiber laser. We'll mainly be etching non-hardened steel and/or cast iron. Just wondering if anyone here had any familiarity or pointers with this. I'm not really involved, just looking to learn what I can about it. Also rather curious to see if they come to the same conclusion as everyone here about what would work best.
