laser driver

heyy..i am an undergraduate student. i am working on a project in which i have to develop a laser communication link. i have no distance limitations. i just have to transmit a high data rate video.
i want to know how to design a laser driver circuit? n if there are any ic's available that perform this functionality?

*just* to transmit a high data rate video - the only quite fast & safe laser drivers I know can be found here:

There are some driver ICs which are capable to handle more than 155 MHz. But for a "high" resolution video this is not enough.

You may have to look for driver & diode assemblies for GB fiber LAN.
