What is the main difference between a class IIIa, IIIb and IIIc?
I assume it's to do with the power output.

Is there a chart or something that shows the difference?

What class would my 670nm 5mW lasers come under?

Thanks.

Are you sure they are 670nm? That wouldn't be very visible. Common pointers are 650-660nm.

They would be Class IIIA pointers because a "5mW" laser has an output below 5mW but above 1mW.

Okay, thanks for the post. I just bought a cheapo red with terrible divergence, but it seems brighter than usual. I think it's below 650nm, like 645 or something. Maybe even lower than that. That's pretty cool that you have 670nm lasers, though!
