We have tried to obtain some with little success, we were quoted some prices which were quite far outside of the range we were hoping to do (as lasence is famous for.)
It’s not as bad as you might think. These modules don’t have a collimating lens, so the divergence is expected to be high.
With 300um beam diameter and 30-40mrad, you are looking at roughly 12,5-16,5M².
Which means that you would get roughly 2mrad if you collimate the beam to 5mm diameter.
The M² is roughly the same as a green 1,5W diode would have. Not good but certainly usable if collimated right.
The good news: you only need a single lens on that module.
Bad news: you will have a bad divergence in both axis.
Anyways, last time I asked, these modules had a indefinitely long shipping time.
