Just got a note 3, what should I know?

After more than a month of searching I finally got my note 3 I have been wanting. This is my first android so for me the hardest part will be learning the OS. I know it has android 4.3, so is there a good tutorial where I can just learn the ins and outs and such?

Also I know people talk about rooting a lot. I'm guessing it basically the same as jailbreaking an iphone. But I don't know, can anybody provide me tips here? I have been using iphones for years now so it will be hard getting used to it.

If you dont know what you're doing you can brick your phone. If the stock OS is enough fo you then leave it be. If not you can overclock and whatnot witha rooted device.

Hey new to the site, but caught ur post. I have the N3 and Gear and love both!!!! Check out the XDA Developers forums, you will learn lots. I'm rooted as well as my gear. Just wanted to share the info. Hope ya enjoy ur new N3!

Watch some porn on that nice HD screen. Haha I know androids are way more customizable compared to the iPhone so rooting it may not even be necessary depending on what you want out of it.

Any suggestions on what rom to root it with? I am thinking Jedi Elite V2 but not sure. Any thoughts on this?
