i have a adjsutable power supply unit capable on CC but i will be on the look out for a driver that is able to 2 volts and 9 amp .

i thought it would require a heatsink and if theres one thing i have an abundance of is old CPU heatsinks

as for usage .......is fun / experimentation a usage?

Yes, it needs a heatsink. Otherwise,
you're spot on. Just add a lens holder and
lens to the output fiber and you have a
beautiful Gaussian beam.

I was hoping to produce a driver capable of
up to 45A (actually I have a working 15A
prototype), but it has been rough going
recently with my health problems.

ah thats good to know , i think next payday i might have to order one. i think the driver is going to be the issue . granted im not an expert in this stuff but i haven't found a driver capable of the 2 volts 9 amps required for this (but then im probably not looking in the right places)
