Is there a battery issue?

Hey,

I bought a 500mW green laser from JetLasers(Great build etc..) and it was working perfectly fine!

Today when I put in the Lithium-Ion battery
Battery: Ultra High Energy Li-ion 18650 Cylindrical Rechargeable Cell: 3.7V 2800mAh (10.36Wh) --LG Brand (NDGR)

I put it in and when I power it on, all I see is a very faint green dot for about 1/2th of a second then it goes off until I click it on again?

What could this be?

I gone through about a dozen Green modules in the last year. I have pretty much considered them to be "limited life disposable".
I do have one (can't remember where it came from so I won't mention names)
does the same thing! Worked great! 200 mw rated measured 175-180. total time on less than 10 min.
Power on and get a flash beam for fraction of a second.
I am guessing it is something on the circuit board but don't know.
