Is my laser broken beyond repair?

Hi,

I have a 100mw laser diode with driver circuit (5v) it was working fine with only about 20hours usage. I turned it on one day and after about 2 seconds it went dim, now it's always dim. no overheating issues or over use.

Is it broken beyond repait?
What tests can I do if you think it's reapirable?
