Is it ok to wrap electrical tape on aixiz module?

I needed to put some electrical tape around my 445nm module to secure something for the time being, since i have no thermal glue or w/e.

Will the electrical tape melt or anything?
My heatsink seems to take a lil longer to get hot because of the electrical tape.

electrical tape WILL NOT transfer enough heat!!! you need to use something that will transfer heat. at least go to radioshack and get some cheap heatsink compound... even stuffing shreds of aluminum foil into the space would be TONS better than electical tape... dont kill your diode!!

The tape will insulate the module from the heatsink giving a much higher temperature differential. But don't worry about the tape melting, the diode will burn off long before the tape melts. :D

horhay,
Yes, tinfoil would fix the module and give some thermal contact as well.

It is no where near the diode, this is what I was talking about

That should be fine, just make sure that there is good thermal contact near the head of the module to provide sufficient heatsinking.
