Is 150 mW enough?

I had a laser pointer a few years ago that was 5mW green and it produced a good beam and went very far. However, since it was not that powerful, it couldn't burn anything.

Today I came across a green laserpointer that measured 150mW (for somereason I can't post the link because I'm a new member). Anyway, I was wondering if 150mW was considered powerful. This pointer is only 56 bucks USD and I'm a bit skeptical.

Thanks,
Jordan

sounds like a scam, 150mW is more than enough to burn but I don't think that you could get one for $56. I would reccomend going to NOVAlasers or dragonlasers for pen sized green lasers or optotronics or Dragon for flashlight sized lasers.

if you want a good lab laser go to newstarlasers they have really good lasers at a great price :D

Yea I've been looking at the Nova X100. I thot 150mW for 56 bucks was just way too good to be true haha.

you get what you pay for with nova, I would also recommend you getting some safety glasses to go with that too ;)

150mW is not enough! As soon as you get it, you'll want more power! [smiley=evil.gif]
