Hello everyone,
am new to the forum and I need your help ...

I did a lot of research but I fused the brain and now I do not understand anything ...:cryyy:
my problem:
I am building a CNC machine to engrave wood ...
I was recommended this diode:
2W 445nm M140 Blue Laser Diode in Copper Module w Leads Three Element Glass | eBay

three questions:
1) Now I should take or make the driver you have any suggestions (or links) as to give ...
2) that glasses need and where can I buy them?
3) I also have a diode (think red) made from an old DVD lightscribe of LG, I can use the same glasses?
who kindly help me

many thanks to all
Roberto

The diode you chose should do well for engraving wood. 2 watts is plenty enough power, also enough to do eye damage. I'm glad to see your looking to buy glasses.

Can you use the same glasses for blue and red? The answer is, NO. Blue and red are on opposite sides of the spectrum.
These glasses are suitable for blue through green wavelengths. Eagle Pair® 190-540nm Standard Laser Safety Goggles
A different pair MUST be used for anything above 540nm, and below 190nm, although I am not aware that any exist in that low of a wavelength, although they probably do.

Hope this helped. :)
