I've just recieved my infiniti 125 from techlasers, and it seems that I actually recieved a good unit. The laser has excellent divergence, and it's slightly brighter than my 140mw fusion (laserchecked), though there's no way to confirm output until I get it tested. If anyone has any doubts as to the quality of the infiniti lasers, I can confirm that I they're solid lasers.

On the other hand, I didn't really appreciate their customer service as much as I liked the laser. They sent me the wrong tracking number for my order and they didn't respond to any of my emails when I asked them for the correct tracking number. So although their products seem to perform as advertised, their customer service needs work. I'll post output powers as soon as I get a chance to have it tested.

Anyways, I'm new here to LPF, but I've been a member on LC for a while, so some of you might remember me. Hopefully this forum will be less biased than the WL one.

Welcome to the forum, so bad you sent money to Wicked Lasers. ::) Pictures and videos for us maybe?

I'll post pictures within a couple days when I have time. Probably after I get it tested for output. I'd probably still recommend those considering CNI lasers to buy from Nova, as their reputation on customer service is excellent, and that would be crucial when someone recieves an underpowered laser.

In addition, I really don't have a huge loyalty to WL. So far, I'm just stating my first impressions in regards to the laser I purchased. As far as I can tell, the laser is good, but their customer service needs work. At the moment, I'd consider Nova lasers for my next purchase, if I decide to buy another CNI becuase of their reputation on customer service.

Yeah, we got worried that you were just some drone giving into WL/TL but if you're looking at Nova you see the light! Please ignore any and/or all of Timelord's pictures. You will find that WL has annoyed many of us.

SO what happens when one receives a under powered or a dead laser?, What happens when yours dies in a short time?
Do you think WL customer Service will suddenly start answering your or anyone else's e-mails?

I think not.

And don't even try to get your money back, that my friend will never happen and if it does, it will be after a long hard fought battle.

Make any business earn your loyalty. Look around here and see what WL really is and what they stand for and you should change your mind.

Congrats on your purchase, I sincerely hope that it is as advertised, or better ! How much did you end up paying, with shipping, etc - can you break down exactly all the particulars ? Thanks ! Oh, and welcome to the forum as well - you will notice a SLIGHT bias AGAINST Wicked, and all their little "sub-companies" but don't let that detract from the over all value of the information, and good people you will find on this forum :-) Like anywhere else, you have to setup a personal filter to ignore the posts that you do not want to read, and if you do a review of a product, please post facts, and then opinions. :-)

To answer you guys regarding my fusion, I've tested it independently on 2 spearate power meters. One of them was a coherent lasercheck. The other was my physics professor's coherent thermalpile power meter (which are more accurate than the laserchecks). (he works with several lasers one of which is a 5W coherent 532nm dpss and a 488nm dpss laser) Both power meters reported the same results, so I believe the tests are accurate. My fusion starts off around 115mw, climbs to 140mw over 30sec, then falls back to 130mw after 40-60sec on fresh lithium batteries. As far as I can tell, it is in spec.

However, I'm not entired happy that wicked lasers greatly exaggerated the burning capabilities of their executive fusions. The beam diameter on my fusion is 1.5 to 2mm, so it pops balloons and burns plastic, but it can't light matches unaided. In addition, I had to go through 2 RMAs before I recived that unit. As far as output power though, it can reach 140mw and the laser is stable (mode-wise).

In the future, I don't think I'll be buying any more wickeds. This is becuase I don't agree with how they falsely advertize some of their products, and the fact that they censor so much material on their forums. I find it rediculous that you can't even mention the name of other laser companies. Almost all negative posts about WL or TL get deteted without explanation as to why. In addition, their spyder 2 lasers are overpriced and most of them don't even live up to their technical specs. It isn't uncommon for people to go through 3 or more RMAs to get the laser they purchased. If people want value and service, I'd suggest novalasers or optotronics (for high power), they provide accurate ouput graphs in addition to having an excellent service record. They also provide much better value than WL.

To answer Senkat's question, I paid $313.99 USD for the laser. That was $289.00 for the laser and $24.99 for shipping.

Very interested to see the pics compared to a cni

'tis a CNI. We keep changing the name, but its the same viper, x series, and whatever we're calling it next week. I miss the days of "CNI black/gold" ;)

I think the Fusion x101xtreme is talking about is one of Wicked's home made lasers they where selling when they moved away from the CNI units ?

That's great that you got a good laser. At those power levels if you can tell a difference in brightness it could be kicking out some good power. Hopefully the difference in brightness isn't because the infiniti has a larger beam diameter because that can make a laser look brighter. If you can I'd love to see some pictures.
