So, yeah, turns out the laser diode is damaged too so it is end for this laser..... But I will be back - I will get a proper driver and another M140 diode. This is a good lesson NOT to use crappy Chinese drivers....
By the way, measuring laser power usng IR thermometer method it turned out that, all the time laser was running at about 144mw power lol, Wich still looked immpresive to me and I
genuinely thought it was near 2W (insert facepalm here).... but oh well lol I am new to lasers, but I am learning !
Some of You asked for more pictures for this completely scratch built laser so there they are ! Enjoy. (All parts were built using old soviet hand-powered lathe... hand powered because at the time there was no motor on it.)
