I figured out how to modify a green pen laser. I know pen lasers are not as good

1:You start taking off both of the ends (take out the batteries at the bottom end)

2:At the top end you should see the diode

3:Take off the whole laser out of the metal shell with a pliars but be careful as they can break easily

4:You should see the button and below it is a screw make sure to tighten it

5:Flip it over and look for a component that says O3

6:Get a soldering iron (not too hot) and heat it for a few seconds then put back together again

please dont post things like this. it will lead to people breaking their lasers and we dont need lpf to be the source of bad info or misguiding info.

all lasers are different and lots of the boards are different as well.

simply shorting out a resistor or heating it up as you say will NOT lead to a good laser.

if you want to have a high power laser buy one that is reputable and has a good history.

if you wanna mod lasers build your own and mod them that way

You can also take the middle lead from the pot, and short it to the + case.

But you will take off 98% of it's life span.

The best thing, is to buy a more powerful laser for more money.

if you want a lot of power maybe a lab laser would be a good choice for you. that way you can keep it all in your house and play with it and burn things and light matches

Please stop posting lame DIY instructions that don't actually work on LPF.

Some people are inclined to believe what is posted here (and often for good reason), but this is a recipe for a broken laser.

It might work on -some- model from -some- manufacturer, but i'm quite convinced the majority of lasers do not even have a pot marked 'o3' in them, and of the ones that do, shorting that pot will destory the vast majority.
