I need help on how to find a green laser, that the beam is visible during the day. Or if I'm in my room and the lights are on.... The beam doesn't have to be terribly bright I want it to be noticeable though. I heard that a 100mW Green will outshine a 1W Blue... Is it true? Also the laser I want, doesn't have to have a adjust focus, but It'd be cool to have that.

Anyways, thanks guys!

You just left a  for another guy, and now you're asking a question about one of the MOST discussed topics on the forum... comparative beam visibility?

Beam visibility depends on two things (at least for your purposes), ambient lighting, and air particulates.

Even a 50mW beam will be VERY visible in a well lit room, if you have a bit of fog in it. At the same time even a 500mW green laser beam will not be visible if the air is clean, and it's daytime or there is bright lighting.

I would like to see that 500mW Green of yours that you did in an altoids.. can you please link the module you used in there?

D:)mnit Sinner, that was going to be my follow up face palm! :p

500mW module in an altoids tin.... rrrrrrrrriiiiiiiight.

Actually it was a mitsubishi diode, unfortnately i soldhat one at school, but i will post pics of my 200mW 660nm Altoids tomorrow.

:thinking:Why in the world would you sell a 500mW 532 Mitsubishi ?!!! Those things are impossible to get...

Your signature says you have a 500mW GREEN in an Altoids can.

If this is true, where did you get a 500mW green module?

Are you trying to tell me there is no such thing as a 500mW 532 Mitsubishi diode?

You have to belong to the Secret Order of the Bullchit Artists Club to buy one.

Its very hush, hush. :shhh:

RRRRIIIIIIGGGGGGHHHHHTTTTT......

 In that case just wait until you see my super whooper duper 5ZW 556nm laser as your proctologist uses it to give you a frontal lobotomy.

Here are some life lessons for you.

1. You're not a good liar.

2. If you're going to lie, make sure to get your FACTS straight before you do it.

3. Lying to impress a bunch of strangers on a public forum online... it's pathetic.

4. Once you lie, your credibility is shot. It is not easily earned back.

as far as I know Mitsubishi makes red laser diodes, and IR laser diodes.
I suppose you may have had a dpss green built in a tin can using a Mitsubishi IR but I don't see it getting 500mw of green.
For me for a green laser to be visible(the beam) in a well lit room is around 100mw, in the sun is a different story, you may be able to see a very faint green beam at 500mw if its dusty or humid, but to have a clearly visible beam in the sun, for any angle, you would need a energy weapon. A hand held is not going to work, but for the price of a car, you may find a lab unit that can put out say 10w of green but good luck.

And know this. No one makes a 500mw 532 diode, we are just now starting to see very low power direct green diode, so unless you have the secret to time travel.......

Yea, thanks for the answer to my question. Apperently the people here, think that if they have more posts than you, they can bull:)it you around. Thanks again.

And btw, it was meant to be a 500mW Green. I want to put it in a altiods can, i already have a 200mW 660nm in one. Typo on my part i bought the green laser from here it from here,: Powerful Crown upgrade 500mW green laser torch/waterproof [OL-532-500] - $274.99 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce

That's great, Sorry for the misunderstanding.. But we would still like to see the other three you havent sold, any older, newer, blurred out, cropped photo would do.. :na:
I see , you also have one red 660nm in Altoids too.. but why is it that not in your signature? did you recently make it or you made it before buying all those awesome lasers u got..
The two IR's and One 500mW Blue (445nm)..
P.S: Crown Upgrade 500mW Green laser was used guys, he's right. Cut him some slack now!! RRRRIIIIIIIIGGGHT!

Considering your current position , The question you originally asked and went un-answered was due to the fact that you have a 500mW Green and a 500mW Blue and bless you my fellow lpf'er you still ask the difference..

Hmm, so first you list something you have or had in your signature. (This is perfectly normal btw.)

Then when asked about it, you "sold it at school" and you say that it's was a mitsubishi diode. Ok. So maybe you meant to say module.

But wait! Now it's a future project that was "meant to be", or that you bought and sold? Too many inconsistencies with your story.

*Cough* Bullshit *Cough*

Tell you what, prove me wrong, post a video of this laser in action, getting lpmed. Or how about just the discarded o-like crown host, empty, with your username and today's date.
