Hello,

I see that a 905nm laser diode is "pulsed" and can give an output wattage of 100 Watts.
Wonder if anyone was ever able to drive/modulate/pulse it and can explain how it can be done:
Also what kind of laser safety goggles needed.

Thanks for any advice.

You are responsible for your own laser safety and your attenuation laser safety glasses selection, that said I would go with an OD of 6+ and get the goggle type when working with invisible nir wavelengths.

@RedCowboy, thanks for the reply.

Spending $7.5K (before tax and shipping) for such pulsed laser driver seems way over my budget and experience at the moment, I was wondering maybe if there are some more affordable approach, maybe DIY a pulsed circuit or buy a chinese one to experiment with and then get the better stuff later on.

You can research building your own or find something ready made.

While I understand the concept I would do some learning before attempting to build my own which would mean an investment of my time..... maybe start with an arduino and build from there ?

I found these things just searching.

This channel looks to have some useful info, many videos.
