Hello!
I have this 10 year old laser pointer (green 532nm 500mW) and the on/off toggle button got lose inside the housing. It tends to stick and not work right. I'd like to take a look inside and see if I can somehow reattach the button before it breaks completely.
I got as far as the laser diode in the front, which I probably won't need to unscrew, and in the back I removed a tube that holds the battery, and I can see a screw down in the housing that holds a PCB with the battery contact.
Not sure how to continue the disassembly without breaking stuff. It seems I can't just pull out the button. Do I need to break away the yellow resin/glue stuff around the front aluminium plate that holds the diode?
