How to burn with optotronics 100mw?

Hey guys new to the site. It's awesome. The list up top helped me pick my first laser. An opto 100mw. It came specd at 118mw. I must not be doin things right. I can't get it to burn anything... Can I? Any suggestions would be great? Other than that I love the laser. Will point for ever....

More information would be helpful, link to the laser you bought or color, is it focusable?

Optotronics 100mW 532nm NewWish pen. Jack just tests them all for divergence and power, NewWish products are great when you get a good one.

Ok I fig it out a little bit. No one told me u have to burn black stuff... I've burned some trash bags etc

No one told you? "burn" & "black" together are the two most commonly used words in this place.
