How much mw to light fuses?






uhm... then how much mw basicly? ive seen someone with a DX red dilda doing it..

And since green lasers is much more easyli focused it should burn better?
 
50mW can do it if focused perfectly, but if you want something that reliably lights fuses you'll want 100+mW.

50mw most definitely will even 25mw can if focused down. I've done it with 15mW 405nM focused down. 5W will do it even at 10mm! ;D
 
Here's my RPL300 on no. 3 setting (285mW avg) lighting the fuses on bottle rockets and firecrackers. These are the green fuses that are typically harder to light but burn predictably unlike the paper fuses on the remaining 15 firecrackers in the pack. ;)

The lowest power I have seen (in a video) light a candle was a 4 watt argon.
