on a normal green laser pointer, on average, how big should the dot be at roughly 30ft? my alpha is about the size of a nickel and my labby is about the size of a penny, from what I can see without my laser goggles, they could be smaller but thats how big they appear

i would think the usual green laser would had about a 1mm beam... with 1.5mrad.... so... the dot might be about 10mm... maybe 15mm?

IF those figures were actual beam diameters (I strongly recommend using goggles and a caliper for measurement) your divergence measurements would be 2.4mRad and 2.2mRad respectively. If it were 1.5mRad, the diameter would be about 15mm (0.6") at 30 ft.
