Hi there.
I decided to join this forum to learn more about lasers and to build one myself some day
The only laser experience I have so far is with a tunable fiber-coupled C-band IR laser I used in an optical wireless communications project. Obviously I want to cross into the visible spectrum now to be able to enjoy the wonderful technology.
For now my plan is to keep lurking and learning before I'll attempt to build a low power cyan/mint green laser pointer.

It's really very easy to make your own laser items and everything you need is easily accessible, the most important thing to know is safety comes 1st, but never you fear, for laser safety glasses and common sense will help keep your future bright as you enjoy this very addictive hobby.
