I have an HP bc5500s dvd-rw bd-rom drive from a laptop I was wondering what the diode specs are and if I need any of the optics to make a blue pointer laser and a red burning laser

Doubt anyone will be able to answer the diode specs and optics question, however.
Is not a common thing people do, playing with diodes that HP bc5500s dvd-rw bd-rom drive + there are no specs available from HP.
Maybe try You Tube and see if the is a video on it.
New diodes and drivers these days are low cost and plentiful.

Welcome to the LPF. As has already been stated, these drives are not something most tear into to get diodes. You can buy new diodes much cheaper than even the time you expend trying to retrieve them from a drive.
