I broke a pin on my diode. :-[
Is there any way to fix it?

If it's the non-common pin, you can still repair it. You will need a length of insulated 26-34ga. wire, a small drill and bit, an extremely steady hand, a diamond wheel, an ESD-safe soldering iron, and a magnifier. If you cut open the can (CAREFULLY! It's easy to cut too deep), drill a hole from the back to the front chamber in a safe zone, and slip a wire in, you can attach the new wire to the remaining portion of the pole. It's not easy to do, since you're working in spaces where even 1mm movement could permanently destroy the laser.
