Hi, I would like some professional input.

I would like to get https://sites.google.com/site/dtrlpf/home/diodes/6w-nubm44-445nm-laser-diode

I am unsure which version to get or which mA rating to get.

I do not have any batteries or charger.

I do not have a host.

I do not have safety glasses.

I would be happy with 5W.

My budget for this build is $1,500.00

Any pros out there wanna post up a parts list for me? All help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time and patience.

I do not have safety glasses.

Some great safety glasses which are commonly used around the forums(and work darn well) are the Eagle Pair's from Survival Laser. You don't have your location added so I will give you the links to both the US & International websites:

US Store:
Safety
International Store
Safety

However, due to your high budget, if you are interested LaserGlow and Thorlabs provide you with certified safety glasses with a higher price tag. Links below:

ThorLabs

LaserGlow
https://www.laserglow.com/AGF#

-for host contact Ehgemus(aluminium host ) or Sinner(copper good for keeping that kind of power going for longer time).
-for top grade battery contact LarryDFW.
-for charger look around for Nitecore i4.(with that you never ever need to buy another charger as it is Universal battery charger/ charge all kind of battery.)
something unrelated: for LPM contact Laserbee, GR3N or Gozert.

Update: I received a beautifully wrapped package from DTR today with my new NUBM44 450nm Laser Diode In Copper Module
W/SXD Driver & 405-G-2 Lens!! ;) (ty Jordan) I am setting up a host in the next week or two when I have time.

Until then I wanted to get a new pair of shades. Hap gave me a great place to look, now I need some advice.

Should I go with:

1. Thorlabs - LG12B Laser Safety Glasses, Amber Lenses, 11% Visible Light Transmission, Sport Style

or

2. https://www.laserglow.com/AGS# AGS5327XX Optical Density: 7+ at 190-532 nm

Thank you for all the help, I don't want to take any chances with my eyesight.:undecided:

5W of 450nm light would require a minimum OD of about 6.7 if my calculations are correct. So I'd go with the laserglow OD 7+ @190-532 goggles.
The Thorlabs goggles provide an (in this case) unnecessarily large spectrum of protection, and are much more expensive.
