Hi there! I'm a newcomber to the laser scene, please help me figure out where I can find a lens for my Gatling style 532nm laserr. Has the lens inside a copper housing that threads into the tip. Thanks much!

I would take a collimating lens out of a junk 532nm module as I have a pile of them or you could look on ebay.

You can find lenses in a lot of places online. Just make sure you know what kind for whatever focus/beam you're looking for. With the gatling lasers, the acrylic lenses will almost certainly not cut it. You can check out DTR's webstore. He's a member on here who sells lots of high-quality components. Survival Laser is also a reputable seller on here and he has a couple lenses. You can always look around on ebay but buyer beware as reliability varies greatly from seller to seller.

I can't post links but you can just google DTR lasers or Survival Laser. If you go through Survival Laser, you can use the LPF445 discount code for 5% off.

DTR sells lenses in M9 x 0.5 threaded barrels, I don't know what comes in the gatling but it looks like what's in many 532nm DPSS modules which is a smaller dia. so measure the dia.

If the outside diameter of your lens housing is 9mm, there are many options open to you. But, since this is a 532nm DPSS laser it has a diverging lens before the one used to collimate the laser. If it is below 500 mW, and I'm quite sure that it is, you can get by with an acrylic lens. But, it will have to be in the correct housing to be useful to you.
