Help on laser.

Hello all,

1st, I know nothing about lasers, But this is what I am looking for.
A laser Pointer that just gives me a dot, any color, that can project up to 15 feet and stay true to that dot, and is not battery powered but AC powered so It can be on for long periods of time. I do not want anything high powered that burns or anything like that, I need this for a marker to keep a center point.
Any suggestion or can you direct me to supplier that carries this.

A green DPSS (532nm) system is your best bet for this application.
about 5-15mw (optical power of the laser) should be more then enough for you.

Not this unit in particular, but these style of modules, often refered as lab style. You may need to do some searching to find the one that suits yourself the most, but generally you would be looking for something like this.
CW operation, and continous run time.

Just due to the visable spectrum, green would be the brightest at the lower powers. So if I understood what you want to use it for, this should be the color for you to use.

most of these can be mains run, but you may require a power supply for that 120-240v input and change it to whatever the driver of the laser module requires.

If you provide more details on what you are trying to use it for (specific application, what are you trying to achive from this center point marker) my answer would probably be more detailed.
