one of the current favorites is the pioneer 112d, available for $35 shipped from newegg.com. This is an open can diode, which is both good and bad. Good in that it has a higher potential power rating, bad in that it is VERY susceptible to static and other types of death.

I will leave it to someone else to suggest a closed can burner, as I honestly have no idea. Unfortunately you missed out on SenKat's last group buy, but someone else may yet take up the torch.
