Help! I need 405 vs 445 comparison pictures

I need to decide between a build that will feature either a 500mw 405nm or a 1.2W 445nm.

I don't care about burning as much as beam visibility (I know either one will pop a balloon with impunity).

Yes, I know the 445nm will be brighter, but I'd really like to see comparison pictures of the beams.

So if anyone has both of these lasers with similar power as I've described, I'd really appreciate it if you could post some side by side beam shots in various lighting conditions from various angles.

And no smoke, please! I want to know what they will look like in the real world.

Thanks so much!

You don't really need pictures...
500mW of 405nm is Purple/Violet in color (near ultraviolet)
and is more difficult to see than 500mW of Blue 445nm..

There are a few pics of the beam shots you are looking for
on the Forum that I've seen in the past. You'll need to search
for them.

A bit of searching would have yielded this for example :)

Lasers outputs are approximately similar. 405 should be around 1W (I need to confirm that) and 445 is 1.2-1.3W. For more pictures look at my signature for the photobucket albums of both lasers.

P.S. Some more.

Thanks for posting these... Yeah I knew 445 would be brighter, I just wanted to see if the 405 would be bright enough, but it looks like it ain't.

Still, it would be a better burner... I saw a really cool vid from a guy who put a 405 into a "laser rifle" and it popped balloons ON CONTACT from 30 feet away. I mean they INSTANTLY blew up. It was really cool.
