Hi everyone,

I haven't started the build yet. I only wanted your help in the actuall build idea.

So this is the parts I want to buy for the build :

445nm 1W m140 diode from DTR.

BenBoost driver from cajunlasers -

Ben Boost Driver 1.256 amp [BB1.256] - $15.99 : Cajunlasers Store

Guidesman Grey Laser Host & Heat Sink also from cajunlasers -

Guidesman Grey Laser Host & Heat Sink [GRYGDSMN] - $29.99 : Cajunlasers Store

Are there any other necessary things I should know before
I'm starting the build ?

Another question, is what about the diode case pin ? Where should I connect it to ?

I heard that some drivers need that the case pin will be connected to the negetive input of the driver. Is the BenBoost require it too ?

Thanks,
Eitan.

Since you're using a ben-boost you cannot ground the negative of the ben-boost driver.. and the guidesman host is side clicky, you wont need to do it..
Edit: I would suggest a 1.7Amp BlitzBuck and a 2-cell (2x18350 or 2x16340) instead.

Okay thanks man ! (:

Edit :

I have checked the Ben Boost page and it written that :

"Important: This driver does NOT have a continuous negative. This means that both voltage input, and both LD output pads must be used. Supplying your diode with "case negative" will bypass the driver and kill your diode."

Isn't that mean that I also should electrically isolate the diode from the host ? or connect the case pin to the negetive input of the
driver ?

Thanks again,
Eitan.
