Hi, I'm new to the forums, and after hearing a friend mention how cool nice laser pointers were, I filed that in the vast resources of my mind, and that was that. 
Until vacation recently, when I found laser pointers/tech on my list of things to glance into, and having the time to do so, I did. First of all, I ascertained that green lasers were the way to go for my level of use and knowledge - something nice, but tame and low-key.
Naturally, the first sites I found were Wicked lasers and such; thankfully, knowing something of the way online marketing and community operates, I had enough sense to find these forums for review of various merchants, and quickly learned that Wicked lasers was NOT the way to go.
So, I'm looking at this laser from Opto; I could find cheaper on Amazon.com or elsewhere, but with this laser I know I can be more sure of the quality and service.
So, I guess that's about it for introductions. Anything I ought to know? Oh, and I assume the development of the green diode is common knowledge around here?
