Having a laser itself illegal?

I know importing them is, but how about having one?

I have a 20mw greenie, 30mw TRUE greenie, and a 200mw red laser.

I don't sell, just buy, but if I get caught with these will there be fines?

I dont know how I would be caught though, anyways just wondering.

Use search function, this have been discused lots of times. Owning lasers is not illegal in the USA.

There's no federal law that makes it unlawful for an adult or minor to own a ready made laser over 5mw. However if you are a minor some states do have laws which prohibit minors from purchasing or owning 5mw or less and over 5mw lasers.
