Have a 3870x2 just workign but nothing to play!

cheeky question, just got my pc workign again wth the 3870x2 in it but I have no recent (post 2003) PC games to thrash it with...

Does anyone have some games I ?could borrow/ nick/ buy cheaply (waiting for paypal to refund me money atm!)?

I wanted to get the actual copies of the games... m yfriend gave me the pirate of crysis but it is limited to high settigns onyl whilst I knwo I can EASILY get to very high with 4X AA if I actually get a copy of the game :-(

Crysis is limited to high on Windows XP, to use the Very High setting you must have Windows Vista. A stupid marketing ploy. And beside that, I highly doubt you will be able to get playable framerates at very high with 4xAA

i have vista but the prob is the hacked version doesnt work too well on vista 64....

I think I can get 20fps with 4X aa... its a 3870X2 which outperforms an 8800gtx....

seems like you have gotten yourself a poorly cracked version or crysis... I also have Vista 64 and using razor1911's release and can run it on very high. I have a 4870, which is at least equal to your card, and i get around 25-30fps on very high 1680x1050 on a good day

by the way, you should try to get your hands on Devil May Cry 4. Great game with awesome graphics. You should be able to max the settings without your card even breaking a sweat.

I must have a badly cracked version as Im not impressed with these GFX :-(

the 4870 is the one up from the 3870 but mine is essentially 2 3870s overclocked in crossfire :-D

But if you can play these games then I should have no probs.....

If you look at this review you see that the 4870 is better than the 3870x2 in most games, and equal to in the other games.
