Hi LPF. Excited to join!
I am an undergrad mechanical engineer which means I don't learn a whole lot about lasers in class. That doesn't mean I don't like lasers though! I have liked them since I was ~8 y/o and on one or two occasions I have used lasers for sensing or alignment. I was limited to 5mw for a while which made for some pretty funny attempts at burning/popping a balloon (LOL!). I have owned quite a few poorly built lasers. They are mostly gone now. Styropyro helped me discover DTR's laser shop and from there I discovered LPF. Such a goldmine! For now I am a bit scared of high powered lasers. One reason I joined LPF is because it seems LPF has a unique body of knowledge, and also an all-seeing eye on the laser market.
