green laser turns yellow

Yep, that effect is caused by fluorescence. What can get really interesting is if you find a liquid that will fluoresce yellow or red, and shine the laser through. It'll still be green when it comes out the other end, but inside the liquid the beam will look a completely different color.

Yea that's what I did. I found some glass cleaner, shined my classic into it, and it's bright orange. I think that it may be Rhodamine 6G, I'll get some pictures tomorrow.

The white balance is off, because the webcam doesn't have an IR filter anymore. :)
 
wow, those are some very nice effects! I need to try some soap and see what I can do.
